If you were to think about it seriously, your law office environment (that is, your law partnership, firm or group) could be regarded as your "community" in which you spend the greater part of your day/week/month/year - - perhaps, even your life.
So, have you ever given thought to what that "community" in which you "live" is really like?
Your (law) community may be excellent (and even highly rated) in rendering legal services, and it may even be highly profitable; but, is your community a caring community? Is it a nourishing community? Does it have integrity? Can you trust and rely on the members of your community in time of need? Do they care as much about you as you do about them?
If you were a 1-person "Planning Department," would YOU have designed a community such as the one in which you spend so much time and energy?
Or, do you really care? Does anyone in your community really care? Or, is it just about making money?
And, if YOU do care, and if others in your community care, what are YOU, and they, doing to make it the type of community YOU, and they, truly desire? Or, if it already is that way, what are YOU, or they, doing to make certain that it remains that way years in the future?
It takes a great deal of effort (and insight) to create an enviable type of community such as a law partnership, firm or group in which one feels most fortunate to be a part. Let us assure you that this does not occur by happenstance.
